Ellen Crenshaw

I'm a Boston-based artist, movie-goer, comic-book-reader, and dirty-joke-teller. I grew up in south Florida, but moved to the unpredictable Northeast to pursue my illustration career, earning a B.F.A. at the Art Institute of Boston in 2007. My clients include Beer Advocate Magazine and Boston's The Weekly Dig (among others); I freelance at children's media company, FableVision; I'm a member of the lady-illustrators group, Girls Drawin' Girls; I've been published in comics anthologies Inbound and ZombieBomb!; and I regularly exhibit my work all over the United States.
I am most influenced by stories, whether that be books, movies, or television, and my artwork depicts characters to whom I relate. As a lover of animation, I also employ a sense of motion in my illustrations, capturing action so that the characters appear to have life beyond the page.
